Hawk Alert Opt-In
While on the University of Iowa campus, the Department of Campus Safety encourages all visitors and guests to sign up for SMS emergency notifications (also known as Hawk Alerts) from the University of Iowa. This service provides you with timely notifications about campus emergencies, safety instructions, and information about where to look for situation updates.
To opt in to Hawk Alert text messages for one day, text “HAWK4DAY” to 67283
To opt in to Hawk Alert text messages for one week, text “HAWK4WEEK” to 67283
Though you will automatically be removed from the system after the timeframe you select, you can opt out at any time by texting “STOP” to the same phone number.
