The annual spring concert is a performing opportunity open to dancers in Pre-Ballet, Levels 1-2, and Creative Dance 3-4 who maintain consistent attendance in their weekly classes. Dancers in levels 3-5 may perform in the concert as members of the Youth Ballet Ensemble.

Fairy Tales: Stone Soup & Mother Goose

 

This year, the UI Youth Ballet and Community Dance School’s annual spring concert will bring favorite childhood stories to life with a new original production of Stone Soup and tales from Mother Goose. Live piano featuring compositions by Edvard Greig and Maurice Ravel will accompany the dancers under the direction of our senior accompanist, Douglas Baker.

Daily Production Week Rehearsals at Space Place Theater: May 11-15, 2025 

Performances: May 16, 2025 – 7:00pm, May 17, 2025 – 2:00pm, 7:00pm 

Please note:    

  • Tuesday Pre-Ballet will only perform in two shows - May 16, 7:00PM and May 17, 2:00PM  

  • Saturday Pre-Ballet will only perform in two shows - May 16, 7:00PM and May 17, 7:00PM
