What to Wear

Recommended styles can be found through online dance retailers.

  • Ballet: Convertible tights and ballet shoes in dancer's skin tone
  • Modern: Footless or convertible tights in dancer's skin tone
  • All: Dance undergarments (skin tone leotard or skin tone dance separates)
    • please wear dance class uniform over these when not in costume.

 What to Bring

  • Arrive with hair done or bring hair styling supplies
  • Oversized zip or button-up shirt for over leotard/costume
  • Mess-free snack
  • Water bottle
  • Quiet activity

Do Not Bring or Wear

  • Sticky, juicy, or greasy foods, candy, or gum. These are not allowed in classrooms and eating in costume is not allowed. Ensure your child has a good meal before coming to the theater.

  • Nail Polish
  • Markers

Wondering About Makeup?

We’ve got you covered! Makeup is provided in each classroom for performers to be applied by parent volunteers and teachers. If you want to send your own for any reason, this is what students wear for each level:  

Pre-B-1B 

  • Red lipstick

  • Blush along the cheekbone  

2A-2B  

  • Red lipstick

  • Blush along the cheekbone  

  • Eye makeup (brown shadow in crease under the brow bone)
