Bring A Friend Week

Know someone who might enjoy taking classes with us? Bring a friend to dance class with you next week, April 7-12, 2025.

Students in the following classes, please bring a friend with you to participate in dance class:

  • Wee Dance
  • Creative Movement 1 and 2
  • Creative Dance 3 and 4
  • Pre-Ballet
  • Ballet levels 1A and 1B
  • Adult open-level classes
    • Absolute Beginner Ballet, Adult Conditioning for Dance, Absolute Beginner Modern Dance, RelaXercise, Free Community Yoga

Instructors and the administrative team will need to have signed forms from all guests before class can begin, so please download and complete the form as early as possible.

Downloadable participation forms are available at our website below. Printed forms will be available in the Youth Ballet and Community Dance School office, W113 Halsey Hall.

Completed forms can be submitted electronically to the main office at dnc-communitydance@uiowa.edu or physically to the class instructor prior to attendance.

Please note that this opportunity is only available to currently enrolled families members only. 

 

Youth Ballet Ensemble Showcase at Iowa City Public Library

Come join us at the Iowa City Public Library for our annual Youth Ballet Ensemble Showcase! 

Youth Ballet Ensemble dancers will perform pieces from the 2025 Spring Concert, Fairy Tales: Stone Soup & Mother Goose. A creative dance geared towards ages 10 and under will be taught afterwards inspired by the performance. All ages are welcome to participate in this fun activity.

This fun-filled event is free to the public and will take place on Saturday, April 19, at 2:30PM in Meeting Room A.

Using the promo code, Youth5, Youth (17 and younger) tickets are only $5! Youth tickets without the code are $11, so this is a great deal – but time is limited. This promo code is only valid until April 26, 2025.
