Juliet Remmers, MFA, RYT
Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Juliet Remmers discovered her love for dance at a young age through classical ballet at the Lawrence Arts Center and has since been dedicated to developing and practicing artful movement. She completed her MFA in Dance at the University of Iowa in 2022, where she was awarded the Iowa Arts Fellowship, the Student Impact Award, the Graduate College Summer Fellowship, and the Graduate and Professional Student Government Research Award. As part of her evening-length thesis production, she performed José Limon's masterpiece of modern dance, The Moor's Pavane. In 2019, she directed and choreographed an original youth ballet, Thumbelina. Juliet holds a BA in Dance from the University of Kansas and is a certified yoga teacher. She has served as a lecturer in dance at the University of Kansas and is currently an adjunct professor in dance at the University of Iowa. Juliet teaches ballet, modern, and yoga with clarity and care. She continues to perform, choreograph, and direct dance. During her classes, she loves to focus on injury prevention, playful challenges, expressive focus, and self-awareness.
