Multidisciplinary Artist born and raised in México City. Before coming to Iowa, Mariana collaborated for over a decade with different theater and opera companies in her home country.  

In 2021 Mariana was awarded the University of Iowa MFA Summer Fellowship to create The Laphin MirRoooar a poetry exhibition where she invited artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to reinterpret her poems.  

Mariana has two MFAs one in Stage Management and one in Spanish Creative Writing from the University of Iowa where she is currently a first-year candidate in the MFA in choreography.
