Sasha Lotz

Biography
Sasha Lotz is a current sophomore at the University of Iowa pursuing a BFA in Dance and a certificate in Entrepreneurial Management. Beginning dance at an early age, she trained heavily in jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and pointe.
Sasha began assisting dance classes at the age of 10 at Kenosha Academy of Performing Arts in Kenosha, WI. She later moved to Antioch, IL where she studied and taught dance at her home studio, Elevate Dance. She taught multiple styles of dance, primarily jazz and ballet. Later in her high school career, she was given the opportunity to teach and choreograph multiple award-winning competitive dance routines.
At Kenosha Academy of Performing Arts, Sasha performed in their annual Nutcracker for numerous years. Later, she was a competitive dancer with Elevate Dance. She competed in a large range of styles, but specialized in jazz, contemporary, and musical theater. As a competitor, she received multiple awards and scholarships, including Title Winner and Highest Overall for her jazz solo and Highest Score for her contemporary duet at Inferno Dance. She is also a three time Precision Performer recipient from Precision Arts Challenge. Additionally, she performed with Inaside Chicago’s Preprofessional Dance Company while in high school.
Sasha is passionate about creating a safe and inviting environment for all dancers to learn and grow. Her goal is to pass down her passion for dance unto the future generation of dancers and inspire her students to take risks and express themselves through movement.
